As the River Vero continues its journey towards the south of the Somontano, the landscape softens and transforms into vast cultivated areas. The vines, the grains, and the almond and olive trees are a key feature of the distinctly Mediterranean landscape.

Close to the river, old farms are still preserved, where they cultivate the infamous pink tomatoes of Barbastro, as well as onions, lettuce, capsicums, beans and much more without forgetting the hundreds of hills of asparagus.

Scrubland, aromatic plants, kermes oaks and holm oaks dominate the barren areas.
