It is a small village nestled on the left side of the River Vero. Its town planning is marked by two streets, which contain most of the residences.

Some houses have preserved their beautiful cobblestone courtyards with pebbles, semi-circular arches and voussoired doorways.

Buera, as with other villages in Somontano, is closely linked to the cultivation of olive oil and retains the customs associated with the traditional cultivation process.

All of this you can discover in the old restored oil press, “el Torno de Buera”, whose interior has an interesting and attractive explanatory design.

About 4 kilometres from the village, you will find the Sanctuary of Santa María de Dulcis (17th century), a centre of popular religious devotion in the middle basin of the Vero, and the unique “Bosque de los Olivos” (olive tree forest).
